WIP Wednesday

Hi today I am linking up with Lee @ Freshly Pieced for WIP Wednesday...I hope you will join in the fun.

I have three project to share with you today, that I have been working on this week.

If you are a regular to my blog you will know all about this quilt...if not you can find out more here.
I was very excited to finally get the top finished this week YEAH !!!

My friend Linda & myself started this quilt last Friday at one of our local fabric store.
Week one we started making some of the blocks. This quilt is held over three classes a fortnight apart.
I will be a gift for one of the older boys when finished.

#3 CINBERBERRY STITCHES - JUST DARLING 'bucket bag & needle carry case collection

I picked up this pattern last year with the thought it would make great gifts for stitching friends. I had done the embroidery for 3 bags and 1 needle then got put to one side :)
It surface out of my things to do box again...and this week I have finished 2 bags & 1 needle started the 3rd bag.
I have made a couple of changes to the pattern. I put the handles in the normal bag position ( the pattern had small handles on the sides) I add a nice big wool felt patch to the needle case. I will do 2 more embroideries for the needle cases and that will make 3 sets to put away for gifts for special stitching friends.

Wishing you all a wonderful day...

My Great Gradmas Plate

My favorite aunt passed this plate on to me recently. It belonged to my Great Grand Mother on my mothers side.

It celebrates the Coronation of King George & Queen Elizabeth on the 12th May 1837.

The gilt is starting to wear but the glass is perfect. It is probably not worth much...but the real value is knowing I am the 4th female in our line to own this plate. What a history this little plate could tell.

I will be linking today with Melody's Tuesdays Treasures so make sure to pop over and check out all the other delights.
